The Dutch Countryside Escape:
Windmills, Cheese & The Amstel River
Cycle through the real Netherlands with Antonis.
Leave the city noise behind. Cycle through forests, visit a real cheese farm, and follow the river that gave Amsterdam its name. Just you, the wind, and the green horizon.
The Route: Nature & Culture
"If you visit the Netherlands and don't cycle into the polders, did you really visit? We escape the crowds in 10 minutes and enter a world of silence, water, and craft."
Vondelpark & Amsterdamse Bos
We start comfortably. Navigating through the famous Vondelpark, we quickly leave the city limits. Within minutes, skyscrapers are replaced by the massive trees of the Amsterdam Forest (Amsterdamse Bos). This is where locals come to breathe. The air changes, the noise fades, and the real Dutch ride begins.
Real Farm: Cheese & Clogs
No tourist traps here. We stop at a traditional working farm. You'll meet the cows, smell the fresh hay, and see how the famous Gouda cheese is made (and yes, we taste it!). You’ll also witness the lost art of wooden shoe (clog) making. It’s hands-on, authentic, and delicious.
Amstel River & Rembrandt
The way back is pure magic. We follow the winding Amstel River, passing historic windmills and the statue of Rembrandt (who loved painting this exact spot). We discuss water management—how the Dutch keep their feet dry while gliding past houseboats and rowing clubs. A perfect, serene finish.
