Volendam & Cookie Tasting
Next, we explore the labyrinth of the famous fishing village of Volendam. We have arranged a special traditional cookie tasting (Stroopwafels and more) for you to savor. Afterward, enjoy free time to walk the dike, shop for souvenirs, or have a fresh fish lunch by the harbor.
Crossing the Markermeerdijk
This isn't just a transfer. Ιt's a documentary experience. We drive across the incredible 30km Dike, surrounded by water on both sides. This surreal landscape is the perfect setting for deep, meaningful conversations about Dutch life and water management. Or, if you prefer, simply recline your seat, enjoy our curated music playlist, and take a peaceful nap as we glide towards Giethoorn.
Giethoorn: Little Venice
The grand finale. A car-free village with no roads, only canals. We enjoy a relaxing 1-hour boat cruise through the thatched-roof farmhouses and wooden bridges. It’s pure magic and the perfect end to our journey. + 1 hour for walking around the village.

Is the Giethoorn Boat Cruise private?
If the weather is good, yes. We use small, whisper-quiet electric boats. Depending on availability, it is typically a private ride with me to be the captain. Ιn case of a bad weather we arrange a boat with tent (some more people they will be with us in the same boat).
Is this suitable for kids or seniors?
Absolutely. This family-friendly tour involves minimal walking compared to other trips. The private van offers door-to-door comfort, making it perfect for all ages.
Can we customize the stops?
Yes! Since this is a private tour from Amsterdam, the itinerary is flexible. We can spend more time in Zaanse Schans or pause longer for photos on the Dike. It's your day.
What about lunch?
Lunch is not included in the price, giving you the freedom to choose. We recommend tasting the famous fresh fish in Volendam or traditional Dutch mini-pancakes in Giethoorn. In any case we arranged for you several tastings.
