Welcome to EcoEcho Tours. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of our website ecoechotours.com and the tours and services we provide. By booking a tour, using our website, or joining one of our experiences, you accept these Terms in full. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy, which form part of these Terms.

2. Bookings

  • All bookings are confirmed only once you receive a written confirmation (email) from us or from one of our authorised booking partners (FareHarbor, GetYourGuide, Viator, Tripadvisor, Airbnb Experiences).
  • You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • When booking, please give accurate contact details, the correct number of participants, and any relevant health, mobility, or dietary information so we can plan a safe and enjoyable experience.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are quoted in euros (EUR) and include Dutch VAT where applicable.
  • Payment is processed at the time of booking through secure payment partners. We do not store full card details on our servers.
  • Prices may change without notice, but any confirmed booking will honour the price shown at the time of confirmation.
  • If a tour is booked through a third-party platform, that platform’s payment terms apply in addition to ours.

4. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling

Our cancellation terms, including the 24-hour free cancellation window for standard tours, refund timelines, force majeure handling, and rules for private, group, and corporate bookings, are set out in full in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Your Participation

By joining an EcoEcho Tours experience, you confirm that:

  • You are in reasonable physical condition for the tour you have chosen. Walking tours involve standing and walking on city surfaces, bike tours involve cycling in urban traffic, and boat tours involve stepping on and off vessels.
  • You will inform us in advance of any medical condition, allergy, or mobility limitation that could affect your safety or the safety of the group.
  • You will follow the reasonable instructions of your guide at all times, including traffic rules, safety briefings, and venue rules.
  • You are responsible for your own personal belongings during the tour.

6. Bike Tours

Cycling in Amsterdam is a highlight of any visit, but it also requires attention and care. On our bike tours:

  • Helmets are available on request, free of charge. Adults are not legally required to wear a helmet in the Netherlands, but we strongly encourage it.
  • Participants must be comfortable riding a bicycle in an urban environment.
  • Any damage to bicycles caused by misuse, negligence, or riding outside the agreed tour route is the responsibility of the participant.
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who appears unfit to cycle safely (for example, due to intoxication).

7. Alcohol, Drugs, and Conduct

  • Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any substance that impairs their ability to take part safely. We reserve the right to remove anyone from a tour, without a refund, if their behaviour endangers themselves, other guests, or our team.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behaviour toward guides, guests, or members of the public is not tolerated.

8. Children and Minors

  • Children are welcome on most tours when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • The accompanying adult is fully responsible for the supervision, safety, and conduct of any minor in their care.
  • Age restrictions for individual tours (especially bike and boat tours) are shown on the tour page and must be respected.

9. Photography and Recording

  • We may take photos or short videos during public tours for marketing, social media, and editorial use. If you prefer not to appear in any footage, please tell your guide at the start of the tour and we will respect your request.
  • Guests are welcome to take personal photos, but commercial photography or filming requires our written permission in advance.

10. Liability

  • We take reasonable care to deliver each tour safely and as described. Participation still involves normal travel and outdoor risks (traffic, weather, walking surfaces, water) that you accept by joining.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, our liability for any claim arising out of a tour is limited to the amount paid by the affected guest for that specific booking.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, missed connections, or other pre-booked activities caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Insurance

We carry public liability insurance as required by Dutch law. We strongly recommend that every guest also carries personal travel insurance covering health, cancellation, and personal belongings. EcoEcho Tours is not responsible for losses that would normally be covered by standard travel insurance.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on ecoechotours.com, including text, images, videos, guide routes, itineraries, and logos, is the property of EcoEcho Tours or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse this content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

13. Privacy and Cookies

Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and performance. You can manage your preferences through the cookie banner and your browser settings.

14. Complaints and Feedback

We care about your experience. If something goes wrong during your tour, please tell your guide immediately so we have a chance to fix it on the spot. Written complaints should be sent to info@ecoechotours.com within 14 days of the tour and will be answered within 14 business days.

15. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on our website at the moment you confirmed the booking. Material changes will be communicated via our website and, where appropriate, by email.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
