Work with us · Freelance guides
We are growing our guide team.
EcoEcho Tours runs small-group and private tours across the Netherlands, with regular school groups through the year. The calendar is filling faster than one guide can carry it, so I am looking for freelance guides who love this city and can hold a group the way we do: live, curious, and with a sustainability lens.
I am Antonis, founder and lead guide. You would work with me directly, not with a booking desk.
How we guide here.
Before you apply, this is the part that matters. Guests can hear a recorded script anywhere. What we sell is the opposite of that.
-
Live, never scripted
The tour is a conversation, not a monologue. Questions are welcome at any point, and the answer is honest, even when it is "I do not know, let me find out".
-
The day in front of us
If a market appears, a bridge opens, or the weather turns, the route lives with the day. We use what the city gives us instead of marching past it.
-
A sustainability lens
Water, bikes, energy, food: how this country actually lives with its environment. Not a lecture, a way of seeing that runs through the whole day.
-
Groups that feel small
Whether it is eight guests or a school class, everyone gets seen. Names, questions, the quiet kid at the back. That is the job.
The role, plainly.
What you would guide
- Sustainability-minded walking and city tours in Amsterdam.
- School groups, our steadiest work: regular bookings through the season, mostly day programmes.
- Occasional day trips and group programmes as the calendar grows.
Who you are
- You love ecology and you actually know it: the water story, the bike story, how this country works with its landscape.
- You are alive in front of a group. People leave your tours lighter than they arrived.
- You are comfortable with children and teenagers, and you enjoy them on your tours.
Introduce yourself.
No cover-letter theatre. Tell us who you are, what you have guided, and why ecology is your thing. Add a link to your CV or LinkedIn in the message.
