How we keep a group safe and well run.
This page is the operating baseline behind every EcoEcho group: school trips, faculty-led programs, agency partnerships and corporate days. It is written plainly, including the limits, because that is how trust works.
01 · The person who holds it
One accountable person, not a chain.
EcoEcho Tours is founder-led. Antonis Iliadis is a licensed tour guide who has lived in Amsterdam for more than ten years. He plans the days, answers the first email, and is on the ground with the group. There is no call centre and no rotating roster of guides you have never met.
He holds a VOG, the Dutch certificate of conduct issued via Justis, the standard vetting document for working with young people in the Netherlands, and shows it to schools as a matter of course. He also holds a current basic first-aid certificate in wound care, issued by Elements of Safety, an NRR-recognised training institute, valid to May 2027.
02 · Before you travel
Agreed in writing, before departure.

A costed plan first, and no deposit until you approve it. You are never paying just to find out what a trip might look like.

Documentation available on request, including insurance cover and background checks, so your office can confirm exactly what applies before it becomes part of any agreement.

No sensitive personal data about minors is collected through public forms. Anything a trip genuinely needs is gathered later, over a secure channel, with the school.
03 · On the ground
With the group, from arrival to departure.

Antonis is with the group every day of the trip, and a direct line reaches him around the clock while you are here.

He knows the Netherlands and Belgium in practice: which clinic or hospital to head for, how the local systems work, and how to move quickly and quietly if someone is unwell or hurt.

He communicates in Dutch and English, so a pharmacy counter, a doctor’s reception or a hospital desk is a conversation and not a wall.

The plan is managed live. If weather, traffic or the group’s energy changes, the day adapts on the spot instead of falling apart.
04 · Vehicles and drivers
People we know, not the cheapest quote.
Group days run on modern, well-maintained coaches with drivers Antonis knows personally and rides alongside. The safety of a group is never handed to a stranger booked on price alone. For private days, the vehicle is a comfortable private van, driven door to door.
05 · Group sizes
Sized so nobody gets lost in the crowd.
Public small-group tours are capped at eight guests. School and institutional cohorts are planned by arrangement: larger groups are split into working groups with the right staffing and coaches, so the day still feels personal rather than herded.
06 · The honest limits
What we are not.
Not a doctor
Antonis is not a medical professional. He holds a current basic first-aid certificate in wound care, and in an emergency his job is to know the way, stay calm, and get your group to the right help fast.
Not a reseller
A registered Dutch business: KvK 66261589, BTW NL002485354B87. You deal with the operator directly, not a chain of intermediaries.
Legal baseline
We follow Dutch consumer-protection law for travel services (Boek 7 BW, Titel 7A) and can provide a written statement of compliance for your records.
