The mini-vans are new and well kept, and whether a day calls for a car, a van or a bus we always look for the greenest feasible option. On a run this long it is worth doing properly, and eight people in one vehicle is already the biggest part of it.

Do I get anything to take home from the day?
Yes. Antonis films through the day and you get a short edited video at the end of the tour. The lights, the market, your group on the way home. It arrives after the trip and it is yours.
Is water provided, and is there anything to do on the drive?
Water is provided on every trip. There are books on board to read, music, and a lot of conversation. The hours go faster than you expect.
Is there wifi in the van?
Yes, free to anyone who wants it. Just ask Antonis and he will sort it out for you.
Is VR available on this tour?
On request only. Antonis can bring the VR gear if you ask in advance, but it is not a standard inclusion on the Christmas day trip. Message us before your date if you would like it.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour start time, and the full amount goes back to your original payment method within 5 business days. After that point the booking is charged in full. If we are the ones who cancel because of serious weather, you get a full refund automatically, and we will always offer you another date first.
Do we stop anywhere for tastings?
Not on this December run. The day is built around Brussels itself and the free time at the market. When a tasting is part of one of our other days out, it is always at a family run, authentic place, never at a farm that exists only for tour groups.
How green is the drive to Brussels and back?
Whether a day calls for a car, a bus or a mini-van, we always look for the greenest feasible solution. On this route the small group size does a lot of the work: eight people share one vehicle instead of filling several.
What are the vehicles like?
New cars and new mini-vans, kept properly, with a maximum of eight travellers on board. Antonis is a licensed guide, VOG screened and first aid certified, and the pacing of the day is unhurried on winter roads rather than racing a schedule.
What happens if the weather is bad in December?
We adapt. Rain, cold, or a change in timings on the day, and we reshape the programme around the group rather than marching everyone through a fixed list. More time indoors, a longer stop at the market, a different order. The good bits still happen.
What if something goes wrong while we are in Belgium?
We are local and we know what to do. If someone loses something or gets hurt, Antonis handles it. He is first aid certified, he lives here, and he knows who to contact on both sides of the border. You are never left to work it out alone.
Will we know where to eat and drink at the market?
Yes, and this is one of the best parts. You get free time at the market and clear directions on where the hot chocolate, the stoofvlees, the frites and the speculoos are actually worth it, plus the corners where locals drink rather than the ones with the biggest signs.
Is there guiding on the road, or only in Brussels?
Both. There is a guided walk through the lit historic centre, and the guiding carries on in the van. We talk about the past, the present and the future of the Netherlands and Belgium, we laugh, and the road stops being the boring part.
Where does this tour pick up from?
This is a small group departure, so we meet in front of Centraal Station. If you would rather be collected door to door from your hotel, book the same road trip as a private day instead.
