You tell me the idea
STEP 01
A rough brief is plenty. Who is coming, roughly when, and what would make the day matter. A theme, a day trip, or just a feeling. Anything helps me start.
Custom, private tours of Amsterdam and day trips across the Netherlands and beyond, built for your group by someone who actually lives here. No off the shelf scripts.
A free plan first. No payment until you say yes. I reply within 24 hours.
Amsterdam is not only canals and gabled houses. It is the stories underneath: the water we fought and tamed, the war we resisted, the freedoms we built, the waste we turned back into a city. Tell me which of those pulls you, or hand me a blank page, and I will build a private day around it. I am Antonis. I live here, I guide here, and I care what your day actually feels like.
I live in Amsterdam. I know what is on this week, what is closed, and where the day actually flows. You get my judgement, not a fixed route read off a card.
You see the whole day mapped out, for free, before you commit a single euro. Route, stops, timing, and the reason behind each choice. Yours to keep.
Your interests set the theme, the pace, and the route. If your idea is not on this page, that is exactly the kind of day I love to build.
I film the good moments as we go, then edit them into a short video of your day and send it to you afterwards. A bespoke day, and something to remember it by.
No deposit on a mystery. First you see the plan, then you choose.
STEP 01
A rough brief is plenty. Who is coming, roughly when, and what would make the day matter. A theme, a day trip, or just a feeling. Anything helps me start.
STEP 02
A proper presentation made just for you: the route, the stops, the timing, and why each choice is there. The hard part, the timing, is already solved. It is free, and it is yours to keep whether we go ahead or not.
STEP 03
Change anything. Add a stop, drop one, shift the pace, swap the theme. We shape it until it feels right for your group.
STEP 04
Only when you love it do we lock it in. Then I run the day, or hand you to a guide I trust and have personally briefed, and I stay reachable the whole time.
These are the lenses and the routes I go deep on. Pick one to begin, mix a few, or bring something that is not here at all. The list is a doorway, not a fence.
How a city built on water now leads on ecology and circular building. The green story, told on the ground.
See the walk →The pink granite by the canal, the long fight for tolerance, and how this city learned to be this free.
See the walk →The quiet doorways that hid people, the resistance, the postwar memory. On foot, or by bike since it is custom.
See the walk →Half the country sits below the sea and the Dutch decided that was negotiable. The gates, the pumps, the stubborn engineering.
Build this with me →Zaanse Schans windmills, Volendam, the car free canals of Giethoorn. The famous places, timed to dodge the crowds.
See the day trip →Bold modern architecture, Vermeer's Delft, and the seat of Dutch power, all in one full day south.
See the day trip →The rolling hills most visitors never see, and Zeeland's Delta Works, the most ambitious flood engineering on earth.
Build this with me →The bloom is about six weeks and it shifts every year. I watch it and pick the week that is actually worth it.
Build this with me →Medieval canals, chocolate, and a different kind of beautiful, an easy full day across the border.
Build this with me →The great cathedral, the river, the easy charm of the Rhineland. Tell me the angle and I will shape the day.
Build this with me →Anyone can read a route off a card. The value of a local is the judgement calls you never see, the ones that quietly make or break a day.
Examples of what is possible, to show the range. Your day starts from a blank page.
A leadership team wanted an offsite that meant something. A morning on Amsterdam's circular economy story on foot, then the Delta Works in Zeeland in the afternoon as a living metaphor for long term thinking. Debrief over local beer.
Repeat guests who had already done the canals wanted the harder history. Three hours of resistance, the Jewish Quarter, and tolerance, told with photos and chalk, then a quiet cafe I actually go to.
Grandparents, parents, two restless teenagers. Giethoorn's car free canals by boat in the morning, Zaanse Schans windmills after lunch, timed to dodge the tour bus crush, because I know when each spot empties out.
A guest who had been three times said, you pick. That week there was an open monument day and perfect cycling weather, so we rode the countryside and slipped into buildings normally closed to the public.
A rough brief is fine. I will read it properly and come back within a day, usually sooner, with first thoughts and a plan.
